Elections: the court closes the chancelleries. Very tight deadlines

In view of European and municipal electionswhose votes will take place tomorrow and Sunday, lOn Monday and Tuesday the criminal and civil offices of the Cremona court will be closed to allow the records to be checked drawn up by the chairmen of the polling stations by the provincial electoral office which will have to crystallize the data relating to the European elections and then send the extracts of the minutes to the Court of Appeal of Milan, which in turn, after the necessary checks, will send them to the Supreme Court (the national electoral office) as soon as possible, no later than June 13th.

The Supreme Court, in consideration of the circumstance that the first sitting of the European Parliament is scheduled for 16 July, will have to conclude its operations by June 28th. So, all precepted, because the times, dictated by the national electoral office, are very tight: to all the provincial electoral offices of the constituency, the Court of Appeal of Milan, constituency office for north-western Italy, has in fact indicated June 11th by 5.30pm as the deadline for transmission.

The paper packages containing the electoral material will arrive in court in Cremona during the night between Sunday and Mondayand data entry operations will take place without interruption starting from Monday. In the meantime, in Cremona, preparation work is underway in the multipurpose courtroomwhere they are setting up the stations: eight planned, distributed between the multipurpose hall and the Assize Court with its council chamber. Two operators will work at each station at the same time, respecting an adequate shift. Six magistrates have been appointed, including three alternates, one with the role of president. The minutes will be checked we will continue to enter the data all night and all day on Monday, until 7-8pm. It will resume on Tuesday morning until the afternoon, when the extracts of the minutes will be taken by car to the Milan Court of Appeal.
