A primary school teacher was arrested by the police on charges of having paid underage girls and boys in exchange for sexual intercourse and for possession of child pornography. The man, who taught in various elementary and middle schools in Massa Carrara (Tuscany), had been suspended from his teaching duties even before his arrest, following serious suspicions hanging over him. The first investigations hypothesize the presence of pedophilic behavior. It all started with the complaint filed by a mother, after her daughter revealed to her about some suspicious meetings that took place in the teacher’s house, presumably after school hours. The authorities therefore immediately launched an investigation, also listening to other alleged victims in the presence of a psychologist.
The tariff
The prosecutor’s office then had a search carried out in the teacher’s home, during which several compromising elements were found in the teacher’s cell phone, which also led to the identification of other alleged victims involved. The investigators’ loot includes explicit photos and videos which allowed the accusation of possession of child pornography to be made. It is hypothesized that the man lured the girls, all of his minor students, both middle school and younger, offering “fun and money” in exchange for “erotic games”, which, given the age of the victims, constitutes abuse. The man, who allegedly involved dozens of minors in this ring, apparently also had a sort of price list: depending on the activity that the students performed, he offered a specific compensation. These included, for example, wearing nail polish, wearing certain underwear or allowing video recording. All material ended up in the investigation file which led the judge to put the teacher in prison as precautionary custody.
