Civitavecchia Port – 7 million euro tender published to build the new “Donato Bramante” Terminal

On Tuesday there was a boom in landings from the 8 cruise ships docked at the same time (30 thousand). Since January the balance has been 857,688 more passengers (21% compared to last year) with 221 ships approaching (57% transited and 43% “turn around”)

CIVITAVECCHIA – Those who are seeing mind-boggling numbers inside the port of Civitavecchia to the delight of maritime operators and above all for the Rome Cruise Terminal who is experiencing one of his best seasons.

Last Tuesday, eight cruise ships docked on the docks of the port of Civitavecchia, from which around 30,000 tourists disembarked and gave work to around 1,800 people.

An invasion of hats and umbrellas that attacked every means of transport to reach Rome and other places close to it.

Precisely on the day of the record number of landings which caused the count to jump (from January to May) by 857,688 more passengers (21% compared to last year) with 221 ships approaching (57% transited and 43% “turn around”). Impressive numbers that pushed Rct to publish the tender for the construction of the second terminal, namely the “Donato Bramante” which was previously a small tensile structure.

In the meantime, the main terminal (we are talking about the structure) has been independently powered since the beginning of June thanks to the electricity produced by the solar panels arranged on the roof.

Roma Cruise Terminal – a company made up of Costa Crociere, Marinvest (MSC group) and Royal Caribbean International, which manages cruise passenger traffic in the port of Civitavecchia – has launched the tender for the awarding of the works relating to the construction of the new Bramante cruise terminal on the Colombo wall at the Civitavecchia airport.

The estimated value of the contract is over 6.9 million euros, of which 190 thousand euros of safety costs are not subject to reduction.
