The Garibaldi hospital in Catania has published a competition notice based on qualifications and exams to fill six permanent positions as medical director of clinical pathology. The application must be submitted by June 23rd.
THE NOTICE
The requirements
Candidates must possess the following requirements: Italian citizenship, without prejudice to the equivalences established by the laws in force or citizenship of one of the European Union countries, also including citizens of third countries who hold the EC long-term residence permit period or who hold refugee status or subsidiary protection status; physical fitness for employment. The assessment of physical suitability for employment is carried out by the hospital before being put into service. Personnel employed on a permanent basis by public administrations and personnel employed by institutes, hospitals and bodies required by law are exempt from medical examinations. Those who have been excluded from the active electorate, as well as those who have been exempted from employment in an Administration for having obtained the job through the production of false documents or documents tainted by an incurable disability, cannot access employment.
The specific requirements
Candidates must possess the following specific requirements: degree in medicine and surgery; specialization in the competitive discipline or equivalent or similar discipline; registration in the register of doctors-surgeons.
The tests
There are three exams: written with a report on a simulated clinical case or on topics relating to the discipline put up for competition or solution of a series of questions with a brief answer relating to the discipline itself; practice on the techniques and manual skills peculiar to the discipline put up for competition; the practical test must however also be illustrated schematically in writing; oral examination on matters relating to the discipline in question, as well as on the tasks related to the function to be assigned.
