Massimo Gnocchi reserve the end of the interview to bring out the real news, about the Gallarate hospital: a meeting between Forza Italia – part of the majority – and the civic list (minority) Objective Municipality Gallarate. How does Gnocchi comment on the regional resolution on the implementation of health projects and in particular on the new Busto-Gallarate hospital?
«It’s not published yet so I’m still wondering it is not a confirmation that the money at risk (the 220 million from the state via art. 20 law 67/88) has been found because with the lack of 1.2 billion of PNR mission 6 funds, at the moment it does not appear that financial invariance is guaranteed as it is necessary to refinance the funds pursuant to art. 20 something of which there was no news. OCG does not intend to stop the action and is actually convinced that there is a dose of tactics around Palazzo Lombardia and Pirellone. «This release seven days before the vote sounds like a political reassuring message to me. «And then this nonsense of talking about a new and not unique hospital has gotten tired» Why don’t you like the definition? Wouldn’t that be new? «It would be, yes, but it would be decidedly unique and not only do the people not want this but not even the same cards that have so far remained covered regarding the fate of the dismantling hospital and for this reason the OCG motion aims straight to the target of the Program Agreement on the fate of the area. Which for us must have a significant public socio-health destination with the maintenance of essential and outpatient healthcare activities in the city that are currently totally non-existent in the single hospital project. In short, the Gallarate hospital must not close and the vote on the motion will serve to clarify who really cares about the future of the city and who doesn’t. I would like to point out that our initiative follows the petition is still awaiting a ruling from the regional health commission will still have also a debate at the regional level which will only be able to help achieve a result that many citizens have asked for from politics.”

Of course, a meeting between a minority force and a majority force, on a specific and much debated topic, is anything but a secondary step.
Gnocchi is not afraid to open up to dialogue and reiterates this: «The Gallarate hospital is the main priority for our city and we at OCG we will travel every road to save as much as possible the active services for all the people of Gallara and for many citizens of the neighboring municipalities”.
