SIX CANDIDATES AND 14 LISTS – Telecolor

Cremona. On Saturday from 3pm to 11pm and on Sunday from 7am to 11pm people will vote for the direct election of the Mayor and City Council of Cremona and for the election of the members of the European Parliament. In the Municipality of Cremona, after two consecutive mandates of Gianluca Galimberti, the voters for the administrative elections are 56,458 (of which 29,540 females and 26,918 males), while for the European elections there are 54,961. There are six mayoral candidates who will present themselves at the polls and 14 lists. For the centre-right Alessandro Portesani, founder and former president of Il Cerchio, he is supported by his civic body, Novità a Cremona, Fratelli d’Italia, Lega, Forza Italia and Pensionati + Salute. The center-left instead fielded Andrea Virgilio, current vice mayor. He is supported by three civic lists Sinistra per Cremona – Energia Civile, Cremona Sei Tu and Fare Nuova Cremona Attiva, and four parties: Pd, Alleanza Verdi and Sinistra e Party Socialista. The 5 Star Movement has nominated Paola Tacchini: a civic list, Cremona Cambia Musica, also supported it. Civic List “Today for Tomorrow” for Maria Vittoria Ceraso and also for Ferruccio Giovetti, supported by the Security and Common Sense list for Cremona. Angelo Frigoli of Alternativa Comunista also took to the field. Polls are also open for 86 other municipalities in addition to Cremona, of which the largest is Casalmaggiore, with just over 15 thousand inhabitants. 32 out of 87 countries will have only one list and San Daniele Po will certainly be a commissioner, given that no list was presented, probably due to the financial difficulties the organization is experiencing, which also caused the merger with Pieve d’Olmi to fail. However, the commissionership of Torricella del Pizzo, which lapsed after the resignation of the majority of councilors, will end and there will therefore be a new mayor. Another interesting fact is that in 59 municipalities the outgoing mayor is also running for the next term and of these, 23 are running with a single list.
