“From the Apuan Ligurian shores towards Eretz Israel, a 78-year friendship of peoples”: this is the title of First Interprovincial Congress of the Apuan Italy Israel Association to be held Saturday 8 Juneat 9.30 in the Marina di Carrara Port Authority Buildingin viale Cristoforo Colombo 6. The conference, which will also be attended by National President of the Federation of Italian Associations Israel Bruno Gazzo the opportunity to bring together in the assembly all the local coordinations that are part of the Apuan Italy Israel Association, namely Massa, Carrara, La Spezia, Versilia and Lunigiana and to proceed with the renewal of the social positions and to present the new plan of events to consolidate the friendship of the Ligurian Apuan territory with the state of Israel. Guest of the conference writer and journalist Carlo Pannella who will present his book: “The Hamas Black Book – Islamic Anti-Semitism and the Two-State Mirage” published by Lindau Edizioni. They will dialogue with the author Francesco Speroni and Cristiano Fubini, eBoth reports and video operators from Gaza. The congress is an opportunity for a discussion between all members of the Italy Israel association and has the aim of disseminating Jewish issues in support of Israel, a democratic bastion in the Middle East. The Italy-Israel association is, in fact, a sort of very important bilateral relationship between the two countries and opens a bridge for dialogue and sharing. The aim of the association is always to make itself known, to strengthen itself in these territories and carry forward these issues, especially now, in a very complicated moment in history, in which Israel has suffered a real pogrom and is very strongly under attack from 7 October 2023. The association has planned a series of initiatives for 2024 linked to the in-depth study of important themes and a conference dedicated to the role of women in the Jewish world and in the Israeli world in parallel is already planned for the summer with the role of women in the typically Western and European sense. The congress is open to all those who wish to contribute ideas.
