The Roman collective/label stops at the Mercati Generali in Catania with the tour it is taking around throughout Italy. Protagonists are the live shows of Coca Puma and Rbsn, and the DJ sets of the London DJ Tash Lc with Onda Collettivo and Her Nice Too.
The Odd Clique traveling tour arrives at the Mercati Generali in Catania on Saturday 8 June. The collective/label, based in Rome, has acted as a centralizer since the beginning, exploring and involving the protagonists of the new contemporary scenes in its evenings. Straddling nu-jazz, soul, electronica and clubbing.
Thanks to the “Per Chi Crea” call with the support of the SIAE and the Ministry of Culture, the hybrid and contemporary vibrations of the Odd Clique are spreading throughout Italy. Showcases complete with live shows and DJ sets, involving different artists and DJs at each stage. After the dates in Turin, Milan and Rome, Saturday 8 June is the turn of the historic Mercati Generali in Catania.
The program includes a double live show of daydreams between soul, electronics and soft psychedelia. On stage live, for her first date in Sicily, Coca Puma, alias of Costanza Puma, an eclectic artist with a nu-jazz background who escapes any definition. Ethereal and magnetic, she uses the voice and textures of her productions to build a world of her own. In April 2024 she released “Panorama Olivia” (Dischi Sotterranei / Odd Clique), her debut album, which is making her one of the most talked about names in the panorama of Italian independent music. A record that, between electronic, dream pop, ambient and post-rock, alternates elegant productions with dreamlike and rarefied atmospheres with darker and more melancholic tracks.
Sharing the stage with her will also be Rbsn, a songwriter and guitarist born and raised in Rome, capable of expertly handling psychedelia, soul and jazz. He lived and studied between Europe and the United States, and his debut album was released by the legendary American label Ropeadope Records. In recent months Rbsn has released his new single for Odd, created together with the Sicilian artist Marco Castello.
The opening of the evening is entrusted to the local selections of Onda Collettivo, while the after-show will see one of the most exciting European DJs of recent years, Tash LC, as the absolute protagonist. Londoner with radio residencies on BBC, Worldwide FM and NTS, he has a chameleon-like ability to straddle clubbing and world sounds. She closes until dawn with the DJ set of Her Nice Too, Odd’s resident DJ.
