Beauty beckons beauty. It is with this intent that the municipal administration promoted the KR.IU – KRotone Identità Urbane project in collaboration with Gulìa Urbana which today saw the conclusion of the first step with the creation of four street art works created in the 300 housing district and in the Fondo Gesù neighborhood. The first of a total of ten that will be built in other neighborhoods of the city and for which the administration is already working to build them in 2025.

This morning in via Di Vittorio the mayor Voce, the deputy mayor Sandro Cretella and Giacomo Marinaro of Gulia Urbana presented the work carried out by four great international artists: Kitsune and Piet Rodriguez, Belgians, whose works can be admired in the 300 housing district and from the Irishman Aches and the Spanish Kraser who created their creations in the Gesù district. In particular, the inauguration ceremony took place in via Di Vittorio in front of the work created by Aches.

Beauty that recalls beauty because, as is happening in the 300 housing district, the works are part of a real urban regeneration activity with the creation and redevelopment of sports facilities and recreational spaces. A project has been implemented which aims to regenerate the fabric of the city’s neighborhoods through art. Neighborhoods that are transformed into a real open-air museum.
