TRENT– Nicola Pesaresi will be the second libero of Itas Trento. This is the first shot at the entry of the European Champion club which will add the experience of the player from Loreto to the department that already includes Gabriele Laurenzano to make the fundamentals of reception and defense even more effective. Nicola Pesaresi will wear the number 3 Trentino Volley shirt, which had never been used by any libero in the past.
THE CARREER-
Pesaresi is an athlete who knows the Italian top division very well, having played there for eleven seasons in a row with the shirts of Verona, Civitanova and Milan, before moving down a category in the last year and enjoying a Serie A2 championship in Brescia as a protagonist culminating in the victory of two trophies (Italian Cup and Super Cup). The statistics describe his qualities well: Nicola is in fact the second player who has achieved the highest number of perfect receptions in the last twelve years of SuperLega (1,225 – only Salvatore Rossini has more), a period in which he recorded an average of 25% in the same fundamental. For his part, he also boasts considerable experience in the international field, gained both with Lube (the club where he grew up) and with Verona and Milan, clubs with which he won a Challenge Cup in 2016 and 2021 respectively, and also with the national team. It was against Trentino Volley that he won the most important trophies of his Italian career in 2017: the Italian Cup and the Scudetto, won by overcoming the yellow-blue team in the final when he wore the Lube shirt.
