LIVORNO. Here we are. Just over twenty-four hours left and Livorno will make their club structure official for the new season. Almost a month has passed since the end of the last championship, a time in which the president Joel Esciua, in addition to having rejected the proposal to purchase the company by “Livorno, we are”, worked for the construction of the new year in which the amaranth they will have a single objective and only one chance to make the journey positive: winning the championship.
And if winning is never easy, to do so you still need the right elements of experience and pedigree. The names that will make up the technical staff are people who have won and know how to win. The hope is that he can also do it here in Livorno where everything is more difficult but, if it goes well, even more exciting.
Company organizational chart
Compared to the corporate structure that was presented at the start of last season, quite a few changes can be expected. Let’s start first with the role of general manager, last year held by Vittorio Mosseri. The rumors tell of a farewell of the head of the Jewish community of Livorno and this is the only position on which there are not many certainties. One option could be that of a “promotion” for Massimiliano Casali, the historic general secretary who would however perform somewhat the same functions in the idea of the Amaranth company. Indeed, Casali’s, beyond the name of the role, will be a fixed point.
Together with him also the two loyalists of president Joel Esciua who has always considered them points of reference for the Livorno of the future and this will also be the case in concrete terms. We are talking about Alessandro Doga and Luca Mazzoni. For the former, the chosen role is that of technical director, alongside the new sporting director.
For the former goalkeeper, however, the position of club manager is ready, a role in which he has already been moving for days starting from the choice of the technical sponsor which we remember is Acerbis with a 4-year agreement plus the option for a fifth.
The most important news concerns the name of the sporting director. As anticipated for weeks now, it is Egidio Bicchierai. Born in 1947, a man with great experience in the category where two seasons ago he won the championship at San Donato Tavarnelle, last season in Ponsacco. He should remain as technical consultant Renzo Melani.
Completing the company organization chart will be the return of Maurizio Laudicino as marketing manager, while, after the official farewell of Laura Maccioni (who succeeded Gianni Tacchi in the finale), the communications manager should be Giulia Bellaveglia.
Technical staff
The technical staff revolves around the figure of Paolo Indiani. It was always Esciua’s first option who had also explored the profiles of Tabbiani and Pergolizzi. The announcement is expected in the next few hours. The assistant coach will be Niccolò Pascali, who concluded the season as head coach, after having started as a junior coach. The two, Indiani and Pascali, have already collaborated together in Pistoia.
To complete the staff there should be the athletic trainer Manuel Sinatti, with Indians at Arezzo this year as well as the goalkeeping trainer Riccardo Di Pisello, also ready to land at Ardenza, together with a match analyst. The official documents are expected for tomorrow afternoon, but in all likelihood this will be the structure of Livorno as they seek to climb to Serie C.
