This morning the “A Spasso” project was presented in Lamezia Terme at the Anteas Calabria headquarters, co-financed by the Calabria Region and the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies as part of the notice for the support of projects of local relevance promoted by organizations voluntary organisations, social promotion associations and third sector foundations pursuant to articles 72 and 73 of Legislative Decree no. 117/2017, third sector code. adp funds 2022 -2024.

The project rethinks care as a community issue, with active and recreational involvement, with moments of conviviality experienced in social lunches and social tourism, psychological comfort, prevention. The project also touches the frontier of a new way of living in places in a more humane and sustainable way, placing the transformative capacity of volunteers at the centre, an emblem on the one hand of gratuitousness, or the ability to operate in the community without profit interests; on the other, generativity, i.e. the ability to activate a proactive and participatory process of comparison, dialogue and sharing of experiences and ideas on the territories.

Project Manager Graziella Catozza illustrated the project by defining the steps with the various activities and events that will spread across the five provinces for 10 months, including the delivery of the 1st edition scholarship Anteas Calabria Graduation Award “Volunteering for the Common Good” aimed at to the students of the Universities of Calabria and the visit to the Quirinale, the Senate and the President of the Republic Mattarella
