Antonio Crocetti’s Chieti tennis team was promoted to B2 series. Paolini and his teammates won all four singles matches, closing 4-0 against rivals Junior Tecariba Latina. The doubles were not played because that result was acquired after Tennis Chieti won the third point.
After having closed the first leg against Junior Tecariba Latina, played last Sunday in Chieti, with a 4-2 result, the Teatini were in fact called to win at least three matches to be sure of the result. Just to be on the safe side, Diego Bravetti won 36/64/60 against Catalano, Paolo Bonafede prevailed 57/64/60 over Palombi, the Bulgarian Anthony Genov inflicted a heavy 63/60 on Leggeri while Andrea Paolini overcame the Pontine Paciello with 76/61.
And so that promotion that had slipped away last season after the defeat in the double confrontation with Tennis Comunali Vicenza, arrived deservedly this year thanks to the solidity of a team that dominated the regional phase and then proved to be clearly superior to Tecariba Latina.
Great satisfaction for captain Antonio Crocetti and the president of Tennis Chieti, Ennio Marianetti, who will immediately start working to strengthen the team in view of the next season.
