Birth bonus from One thousand Euro for families with ISEE not exceeding three thousand euros. The regional department of family and social policies of Sicilian region published the notice aimed at new Sicilian parents or those exercising parental authority and allocated over 1.4 million euros for this intervention. Requests must be submitted directly to the Municipalities of residence which, based on the examination of the documentation received and following the drafting of a specific ranking, will then provide the sums.
The list of those entitled to the economic benefit is drawn up on the basis of specific requirements indicated in the notice. We start from the family income: priority is given to families with low ISEE income. With the same ISEE, the number of members of the family unit is evaluated, giving priority to larger families. In the event that there is equality with respect to the two previous requirements, the date of birth of the minors will be considered, assigning priority based on the chronological order of births.
To submit the request for the Birth Bonus it is also necessary that at least one of the two parents, or one of the subjects exercising parental authority, possesses these requirements: Italian or EU citizenship or, in the case of a non-EU subject, possession of a residence permit; residence in Sicily at the time of birth or adoption; in the case of subjects in possession of a residence permit, residence in the Sicilian territory for at least twelve months at the time of birth; birth of the child in Sicily; ISEE not exceeding 3,000 euros, keeping in mind that all members of the family unit contribute to the determination of this indicator.
Following the approval of the ranking, the birth bonuses will then be assigned until the available sums are exhausted. In the event that further economic resources become available, including from national funds, the department has announced that the list of those entitled will be scrolled. Requests must be submitted to the Social Services office of the Municipality of residence and must be drawn up on a specific application form prepared by the department and available, together with the notice, to this link.
