State Police Activities
On the morning of June 2nd, the celebration of the 78th Anniversary of the Proclamation of the Republic took place in Piazza dei Caduti in Viterbo in the presence of the civil, military and ecclesiastical authorities.
The celebration, organized by the Territorial Government Office in collaboration with the Army Aviation Command, opened with the flag raising ceremony in the presence of the deployment of the Joint Forces Training Platoon which was followed by the laying of the wreath at the War Memorial of the Homeland.
The celebrations then continued in Piazza San Lorenzo with the reading by the Prefect of Viterbo Gennaro Capo of the Message from the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella with the subsequent interventions of the Authorities.
This was followed by the delivery of the honors of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic to deserving citizens among whom the Chief Superintendent of the State Police Emanuel Politini distinguished himself, serving in the Operations Room of the Viterbo Police Headquarters, awarded the Honor of Knight of the Italian Republic , delivered to him by the Prefect of Viterbo Gennaro Capo, by the Police Commissioner of Viterbo Luigi Silipo and by the Mayor Chiara Frontini.
