ALESSANDRIA – Examining to obtain a driving license with camera and headset: reported by the State Police.
The aspiring driver had hidden a camera and a cell phone in the padding of his sweatshirt. ANDHe had inserted a small Bluetooth headset into his ear. But he was discovered and stopped by the police team of the Alessandria Traffic Police Section.
It is the result of the collaboration between the Traffic Police of Alessandria and the Civil Motorization of Alessandria, precisely to foil the increasingly frequent scams attempted by candidates taking the exam to obtain a driving license.
Happened inside the classrooms of the Civil Motorization of Alessandria, last April 30th, right during the exam test to pass the quizzes. Among all the candidates, one in particular attracted the attention of the examiners who immediately notified the men of the Judicial Police Team of the Traffic Police Section of Alessandria.
This candidate in particular, he was sitting in a rather strange way because he kept his torso unnaturally erect towards the PC screen where the exam questions are displayed. This position made us think that it might have some hidden cameras to better frame the screen for the benefit of external prompters.
As soon as the exam is completed, the candidate was blocked by the traffic police. Who, after searching him, found a camera hidden inside the lining of the sweatshirt, at chest height, connected to a mobile phone that was still turned on and working.
Instead, he had inserted a small Bluetooth headset into his ear, which required the intervention of medical personnel to be able to remove it.
The aspiring candidate was referred to the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Alessandria for fraud aimed at obtaining public titles.
The scam phenomenon, which as mentioned is very widespread throughout the peninsula, essentially concerns foreign subjects who, in the event of success, obtain a driving license without actually proving their knowledge of the rules protecting road safety.
