Brescia: new play structures in 33 school buildings.
New play structures in Brescia schools
The installation of external play equipment has been completed in 33 city school buildings: 11 nurseries, 5 family times and 17 nursery schools. The new furnishings replaced the pre-existing structures, which were now obsolete and no longer compliant with the current safety standards required by law. Wood and recycled plastic were mainly used, certified materials that comply with national standards.
Furthermore, the new games, which are more functional and fun for children, were chosen thanks to the collaboration with the staff of the municipal educational service for children (0-6 years), in relation to the educational programs of the schools.
The tender for the supply and installation of the play equipment was carried out in 2023 and the overall expenditure for the contract, at a low auction, was equal to 146,835.64 euros (VAT included): 103,593.64 euros for the nursery schools and 43,242 euros for nursery schools.
