The Liceo Classico Telesio of Cosenza triumphs in both sections of “Cosenza Courts”, national short film and creative writing competition now in its 10th edition and promoted as every year by the “Teatro in note” Cooperative, chaired by Vera Segreti
“Art and music between beauty and creativity” theme chosen for the tenth anniversary, in which students from various institutes in Cosenza and the province attempted their work, but the podium, as mentioned, was led by the students of the historic high school and in this case by the students of classes IV E, II B BIO, II C and IV C, under the coordination of the referring teachers: Rosanna Tedesco Stefania Vetrini, Barbara Marchio and Giuseppina Bossio.
On 4 June, the awards ceremony was held at the Casa delle Culture in Cosenza where the student Isabella Farina won the critics’ prize for creative writing, while the first prize ex aequo went to Francesco Eugenio Cozza and Antonio Rovito; for the shorts section, first overall prize for the short film again curated by the Bernardino students with the title: “submerged by the shadow, saved by beauty…chromosophy of an escape”. Teatro in notes also intended to promote a collected publication of 15 stories presented at the Competition, seven of which were written by Telesio students: Luna Forlino, Gabriele Garofalo and Daniele Robu of IV E and Annarosa Morrone of II B BIO.
“It doesn’t matter who won, the important thing is the path that has been taken and which we hope has helped you to grow and improve”, says Vera Segreti, Patron of the Competition, supported by the staff of professionals who in the presentation and preparation phase they met the students at the Competition. Segreti was keen to reiterate the quality of the opinions expressed by the prestigious jury of professionals, guaranteeing even more effective assistance and guidance for the next edition, in order to overcome the critical issues encountered in some works.
