Great success for the entitled competition Puccini consciously digital organized by Rotary Club of Lucca in collaboration with the Riaccendi il Sorriso association and with the patronage of the ministry of education and merit in the territorial area of Lucca and Massa. The awards ceremony was held this morning (4 June) at the San Girolamo theater in Lucca.

There ceremony of awarding prizes to five papers from middle schools and high schools saw the participation of the president of the Rotary Club Lucca, Giuseppe Lunardinithe partner Giorgio Bartolithe president and vice president of the association Rekindle your smilerespectively Rosaria Sommariva and Marco Simonetti in the presence of the mayor of Lucca, Mario Pardiniof the police commissioner of Lucca Edoardo Giobbi and the education councilor Simona Testaferrata.

“In Rotary Club of Luccawe are proud to contribute in this very important year for Puccinian celebrations, with a project aimed at involving young people by addressing the issue of the consequences of digital abuse – declared architect Lunardini -. Thanks to the synergy with the association Rekindle your smilewe managed to bring medical-scientific attention to some pathologies resulting from the unconscious use of digital devices”.

“We participated with enthusiasm in the realization of this initiative – explain the president of the association Rekindle your smile Rosaria Sommariva and vice-president Marco Simonetti – our mission is to inform young people, but also parental figures and educators in general, on the importance of conscious use of digital devices and social networks. We know what the consequences and risks are from the point of scientific medical view and social issues deriving from the abuse of new technologies, what problems can arise on the psycho-physical development of adolescents, what pathologies can result, what pitfalls hide in the virtual world. Having opportunities like this to raise awareness is important. We thank the Rotary Club of Lucca for this sharing of visions and values”.

The final event, hosted by the actor Raffaele Casagrandewas embellished by the musical virtuosity of the great maestro Simone Soldati, member of the Rotary Club of Lucca, and by the extraordinary voice of the student Matilde Gioe.

The awards ceremony 5 classes saw the awarding of 5 souvenir plaques as well as multiple prizes donated by the competition sponsors, Sofidel, Naturanda and foto Alcide.

The Lucca Rotary Club continues to demonstrate its fundamental role in promoting charitable and cultural initiatives, contributing to improving the quality of life in the local community.
