Federica Barbero, candidate on the Brothers of Italy lists, both for the elections of the Piedmont Region (for Cuneo and the province), and for the European elections in the North-West constituency (Piedmont, Liguria, Valle d’Aosta and Lombardy) participated yesterday, Monday 3 June at the conference “Cuneo calls Piedmont, Piedmont calls Europe“.

The meeting was organized by the Fratelli d’Italia club of Borgo San Dalmazzo and valleys.

By virtue of her dual candidacy in the regional and European elections, Federica Barbero has expressed her proposals for Cuneo and Piedmont.

“I would like to express my heartfelt and sincere thanks to all those who participated in yesterday’s evening, organized in Borgo San Dalmazzo, moderated by Paolo Chiarenza and opened by Luca Ferracciolo, FdI trustee of Borgo San Dalmazzo, very successful thanks to the work of team that is proving decisive, more and more every day.

I am also very grateful to those who attended, very numerous and attentive, as an audience, and to the illustrious speakers: the Hon. Monica Ciaburro, Prof. Elio Ambrogio, Dr. Ezio Barp, Dr. Giorgio Sapino, Lawyer. Maurizio Paoletti, Dr. Ambrogio Invernizzi and the mayor of Valdieri Guido Giordana, each of whom offered us in-depth profiles in relation to their different professionalisms and interests.

We thus experienced a particularly intense evening, full of content and stimuli for what to do.

All the most sensitive issues for our territory were touched upon, from agriculture to road and railway infrastructures, from the topic of institutional reforms to healthcare, from the expectations of entrepreneurs to the valorisation of the mountains. We analyzed the various aspects with our feet firmly planted in Piedmont but with an eye towards Europe and our weight in the European Union. Personally, I wanted to recall some critical issues that cannot be ignored: the situation of NEETs, that is, those young people who do not study, work or are engaged in training processes. They represent a high percentage of our territory, but they are a very important resource to recover, because we entrust our, and above all their, future in the hands of the young generations. Furthermore, I relaunched the topic of the training of Europlanners, indispensable to help the local authorities themselves intercept the European funds to be obtained to support investments. A topic that goes hand in hand with that, very dear to me, of the relaunch of internal villages that are gradually becoming depopulated.

Ultimately: there is a lot to work on, I feel ready to tackle the work. However, I need the electoral investiture to begin my journey: I am confident in the widest participation in the vote, which will give me strong legitimacy!”.
