The new speed limit of 50 kilometers per hour has come into force in Prato Sesia on the stretch of provincial road that leads from the Ca’ Bianca hamlet towards the town centre, beyond the former Pipa complex.
We are talking about a road segment with a length of 680 meters, where previously the limit of 70 was in force. The decision to lower the speed was taken by the mayor Alberto Boraso after a meeting with the entrepreneurs whose companies have an outlet on that road section.
For the safety of entrances to the company
The entrepreneurs had asked for action to reduce the risk of their employees entering the road due to the speed of passing vehicles.
Boraso has thus agreed with the Province of Novara to standardize the speed limitation of 50 kilometers per hour along the entire provincial road, from the roundabout between Grignasco and Prato Sesia to the border with Romagnano. At a later stage, a traffic light system will be installed at the intersection with the road leading to Ca’ Bianca, in order to further regulate the speed of cars and facilitate entry into the hamlet.
