On Thursday 6 June Run 5.30 returns to Modena

A race that is not just a race. 5 km in the heart of the city at 5.30 in the morning to inspire people to cultivate their daily well-being.

The 5.30 2024 “Love what you are!” tour The 5.30 returns to Modena, to invite everyone to love themselves and run together towards the dawn in the heart of the city with a meeting Thursday 6 June at 5.30 am at Novi Sad park.

Run 5.30 is a non-competitive walk at 5.30am on a working day which aims to promote sustainable lifestyle habits through daily movement, food, culture, art and experience. All in the context in which people live and work, with a sustainable event with low impact on the environment.

Run 5.30 was born here in Modena in 2009 – with the first 570 participants – and was also exported to the United Kingdom and New York, and the six June returns to the city with the traditional healthy refreshment of cherries.

This year all the participants of the 5.30 will find the Cristina’s cherriesoffered by Gian Carlo and Vanna Pivetti, Cristina’s parents to remember their daughter who died from a serious illness and to support 5.30’s mission of promoting healthy choices to prevent chronic diseases.

And this year supporting 5.30 will also be the Panathlon Club of Modena and Maria Carafoli who saw the birth of 5.30 “I met Sergio and Sabrina at the end of November 2008, when I was Head of the Sports Service for the Municipality of Modena. I immediately embraced their idea of Run 5.30, giving full availability for the logistical support, which was requested in addition to the patronage. In my opinion, however, an essential component was missing: the schools, which, once involved, responded, right from the first edition, with widespread student participation. Now my intent is to bring Run 5.30 along the long imaginary line that runs from Piacenza to Ascoli, thus crossing the entire Area 5 of the Panathlon Governatorate (Emilia-Romagna and Marche), of which I am Deputy Governor. A difficult challenge for sure, but I have learned that for Sabrina and Sergio nothing is impossible

Another novelty of the 5.30 2024 tour is the Modena charity for which participants from all 9 cities of the tour, by registering online, will be able to make a donation And the Hospice Foundation “Dignity for life Cristina Pivetti” to contribute to the creation of the Hospice https://www.hospicemodena.it; the group of volunteers from the Modena hospice led by the president Dr. Gabriele Luppi will be on the starting line at 5.30.

And as per tradition in Modena the appointment is Thursday 6 June, thanks to collaboration between Ginger SSD and there Interforce and SKA Sicura running.
