Promote collaboration between Tuscan Autolinee and CAP on particular projects to improve the local public transport service in urban and inter-provincial areas. A synergy between the regional manager and the Prato cooperative which, according to the centre-left mayoral candidate, Ilaria Bugetti, could represent the turning point in the provision of public services. “The two companies are already collaborating on multiple fronts, including in the Florentine context. – explains Bugetti – and the results are satisfactory on both sides. Therefore we can implement this relationship by putting new projects on the table.” Bugetti is thinking of the proposals contained in his electoral program such as electric mini buses for the connection between the car parks along the walls and the historic centre, but also for the connection between the hamlets with a view to strengthening services in the most peripheral areas of the city. But there is also a third proposal that emerged from the discussion and dialogue with the companies visited in this electoral campaign: giving the macro-lots an adequate public transport service. “Every day many citizens reach the companies in our industrial areas by car because there are no alternatives. – explains Bugetti – If we want to carry out green policies and help citizens get to work by leaving the car at home, we must guarantee a widespread, fast and punctual public transport network”. Additional services which naturally have a cost. “We can verify the possibility of having some services enter the perimeter of the match. – continues Bugetti – And through precise planning we can look for new resources. Regarding green transport and environmental sustainability, there is more than one possibility.” At the moment Cap collaborates with At on Florence, Pisa and Lucca. The next step, therefore, will be Prato. “There is a line that we can draw together” concluded Bugetti.
