The project started in March by the IC “Giovanni XXIII” of Paceco, in collaboration with the Institute of Higher Education “Ignazio and Vincenzo Florio” of Erice and the Teatro Abusivo Marsala, has come to an end, created with regional funds approved with a circular from the regional Department of Education, University and the Right to Education, to promote the culture of gender parity and equality, called “Art of all kinds”. On 9 June at 9pm, at the “Tonino Pardo” Theater in Trapani, the final show of the students of the theater workshop activated within the aforementioned path will be staged, entitled “Loving: infinite, plural”.
This is the final moment of the initiative conceived with the involvement of lower and upper secondary schools, with activities aimed at promoting the spread of the culture of nonviolence and respect, and against gender violence.
The IC Giovanni XXIII project, directed by the Headmaster Barbara Mineo, was conceived for the realization of the event scheduled for June 9th, at the end of the theater workshop and a writing workshop, using the power of theatrical representation to raise awareness students on this topic.
The workshop was led by the expert teacher, the actor and theater director Massimo Pastore, supported by the teachers Ignazia Curatolo and Vita Valenti, with a ‘graft’ in the form of an internship, held by the Apulian theater monologist Daniela Baldassarra, who in her intensive workshop he oriented the creative writing to bring out a text on these specific themes that addressed the topic with a slant that was not necessarily dramatic but, on the contrary, ironic, self-reflective and effective. The objective was to investigate the value of comedy in dealing with important issues such as gender equality and violence.
