Next June 6th is a date to mark in the calendar for lovers of fashion and creativity: the students of the fashion section, clothing and footwear sections, will present their creations: a collection of clothes and shoes that reinterprets the stylistic characteristics in a modern key of actresses who have become icons in the history of cinema.

“It is important to stimulate and nourish the creativity of young people, to cultivate a mentality open to innovation and change, necessary to keep the artisanal vocation of the area alive” maintains the Headmaster Annamaria Bernardini. The students of the Fermano Institute, through their training, learn not only craft and design techniques, but also develop a critical and original approach to the creation of clothes, shoes and accessories. “Reinterpreting the icons of cinema is an exercise that requires not only technical competence, but also a profound understanding of the cultural and stylistic values that those figures represent”, say professors Rossella Angelini and Eleonora Palmoni, organizers of the event.

This year the event will be even richer in creativity, through the intervention of the figurative section of the students of the “Preziotti-Licini” artistic high school in Fermo, who will also interpret, through the “body art” technique, one of the icons current trends in cinema. The students of Ipsia and the artistic high school will be the ones to parade directly, some will directly wear their own creations, others have agreed to participate by wearing the creations of their classmates.

There will also be the intervention of a group of students who will involve the public in a game where spectators will be invited to solve a riddle linked to the parade, guided by the creator Carlo Pagliacci. The school thanks the Municipality of Fermo for making the Fermo Square available, as well as supporting it with the necessary structures. “the catwalk on which the kids will parade is more than 25 meters long,” reports technician Mauro Baldassari. The Councilor for Culture Micol Lanzidei reciprocates by expressing the Municipality’s satisfaction with the event organized by the Fermo school world, in this case Ipsia, in its three directions, well-being, fashion and footwear, with the collaboration of the Artistic High School: “the school gives the city and the territory a moment that is not just for entertainment, with which what the students have learned is transferred from the desks to the square, a sort of collective restitution of knowledge at the service of society. All in the name of synergy between school and institutions and in this case the Municipal Administration is happy to be able to give its support to an evening with which Piazza del Popolo in Fermo will become the Roman Spanish Steps for one night”.

The Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Commerce Mauro Torresi reports “this event now represents a point of reference in which the artisanal productions expertly created by the students of Ipsia, in collaboration with the Art School, will have the right showcase they deserve, with a spotlight that is that of Piazza del Popolo, to be able to show the city and the territory the value of the school and the young talents who, with their work and their creativity, will certainly be able to realize themselves in the future. We are always open as a Municipal Administration to the whole world of the school, to encourage and support him”. As guests from outside the school, there will be the singer-songwriter Samuele di Nicolò and the comedian Michele Gallucci, for an evening full of fun and creativity.

The project was carried out thanks to the precious contribution of the Carifermo Foundation within the “Scuola Innova” project, for the payment of external services and material, and to the PNRR funds within the “reduction of gaps” measure for the payment of the internal staff.
