ANCONA – Fear in the afternoon at Pinocchio, where a pedestrian was mowed down by a car while crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing. The accident occurred around 6.30pm. The man, a 62-year-old Albanian, broke the windshield with his body after being hit.

Serious conditions

His condition immediately appeared serious, although he remained conscious at all times. 118 intervened on site with a medical vehicle and a Red Cross crew who took the patient to the Torrette hospital, in code red, with immediate access to the emergency room. According to an initial reconstruction, the motorist would have been annoyed by the sun and for this reason he would not have noticed the presence of the pedestrian on the crossing. The local police are on site.
