Out of 34 overall men’s and women’s individual titles, its athletes won 11
SULMONA – At the Absolute Individual Regional Championships, held in Sulmona, Atletica Gran Sasso was the club that achieved the highest number of titles by a wide margin. There were 11 first places out of 34 podiums for which they competed. The thrower Ludovica Montanaro won two titles with valuable technical performances, especially in weight, where she confirmed herself at levels of national excellence with the measurement of 14.32 meters. It should be remembered that she boasts a personal score of 14.65, which places her sixth in the national seasonal ranking. She then repeated it in the disc with the measurement of 42.91 meters.
But the one who made the greatest impression was the hurdler Maria Esperanza Micolucci, winner of the 100 meters hurdles with a time of 14″69, with a personal best improved by 39 hundredths in one go by the athlete trained by Gabriele Di Berardo. Obstacles that gave the Teramo club two more titles: Riccardo Falasca in the 110 with a time of 15″56, Greta Zuccarini in the 400 with 1’03″15. Even though he didn’t win, the student born in 2008 Pascal Pilotti made important progress in the 100 meters, third with a new personal best of 11″22.
