Ravenna, yet another accident and a family gives up on building the wall in front of their house: “It would be destroyed anyway”

Yet another accident this morning in Piangipane at the intersection of via Canala and via Maccalone. This is a new sad episode of Via Canala which has reiterated its dangerousness in two intersections with Via Sant’Egidio, and the other at the intersection with Via Maccalone and Via San Giuseppe. A situation of chronic suffering, so much so that a family who lives at the crossroads between Via Canala and San Giuseppe has for now decided not to rebuild the wall protecting their home, given that it would be regularly destroyed. So at the moment there is a simple fence in front of the road.

Yet another accident

Today, shortly after 12pm, yet another accident involving a Peugeot driven by a 60-year-old and a BMW (driven by a young woman). The BMW ended up in the courtyard of the house mentioned earlier. The 118 emergency services, with two ambulances, and the Ravenna Fire Brigade were on site. The Peugeot overturned on its side and ended up in the ditch, while the BMW continued its journey, knocking down the methane meter and causing a gas leak which required the intervention of the Fire Brigade. The two injured were transported to Cesena hospital in medium serious conditions.
