Stefano Marazzi is the centre-left candidate. Alberto Bizzocchi of Fratelli d’Italia challenged him. Guests of Buongiorno Reggio spoke about transport and safety as priorities at the center of their programs

BIBBIANO (Reggio Emilia) – Improve the local Reggio-Ciano railway. The two candidates running for the role of mayor in Bibbiano agree on the necessity of this objective. “Progress has been made on the Reggio-Ciano, but the electrification must be completed, and the problem of queues must be resolved,” says Stefano Marazzi, 50, secretary of the Bibbiano PD for 9 years and vying for the centre-left.

“The situation affecting the railway section is among the unresolved critical issues, long queues form at level crossings”, are the words of Alberto Bizzocchi, deputy regional coordinator of Fratelli d’Italia and for years provincial coordinator of the prime minister’s party Meloni, head of the center-right list.

The ” Bibbiano case”, the trial of which is still ongoing, was deliberately kept out of the electoral campaign, however it could influence the vote, the two candidates explained in their discussion on Buongiorno Reggio. “We have just made a national-level decree to remove the crime of abuse of office of which Carletti was accused,” Bizzocchi pointed out. “I am part of a community that has suffered a lot,” was Marazzi’s comment.
