Third appointment with the series of meetings Legnano gives wings: on Saturday 15 June Toni Fogliani will be a guest in the city who will talk about the way in which one had to tackle the course to become pilots on the legendary F-104 “Starfighter”.

Saturday 15 June 2024, 9pm, Associarma Legnano and AAA Saronno, in collaboration with Amici del Reparto Sperimentale di Volo, present “The road to Starfighter”, a meeting with Toni Fogliani “Leo 8” who will tell the story of how it had to be faced the course to become pilots on the legendary F-104 “Starfighter”.
Who is Toni Fogliani
Toni Fogliani, former operational pilot of our Air Force on F-104 and TF-104 with 3500 flight hours, was an instructor at the 20th OCU Group (Operational Conversion Unit) for eight years. The 20th Group belongs to the 4th Wing of the Air Force, with the mission of training pilots assigned to the Fighter line and is based at the “Corrado Baccarini” Airport in Grosseto.

The event will take place on Saturday 15 June 2024, 9pm at the Associarma building, Piazza Medaglie d’Oro, Legnano and is part of the Legnano Mette Le Ali ’24 cycle – from one centenary to another.

Associarma Legnano, established in 1973, brings together the Combat and Weapons Associations of Legnano in order to represent them univocally before the city authorities and better use their synergies on the occasion of cultural and social initiatives.

Friends of the Experimental Flight Department, or simply Friends of the Experimental, the first club to become a cultural association from 28 March 2024 whose existence is recognized by the AM (Areounatica Militare), is made up of enthusiasts of the RSV and of flying in all its aspects, by civil and military pilots, by photographers for pleasure and profession and by anyone who has been part of the RSV.
