This weekend, Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd June, the National Canoe Kayak Speed Competition was held in Castel Gandolfo, on Lake Albano, reserved for the Boys, Junior and Senior categories, and Paracanoe with the Under23, Junior and Boys selective test. .
A sporting event which represented the launching pad for the Italian team which will participate in the European Category Championships scheduled in Bratislava from 27 to 30 June, and which saw the participation of 530 athletes, representing 75 clubs from all over Italy, for a total of 1489 athletes/race and 1280 crews.
The Molfetta section of the Italian Naval League participated in the race with a male and female representative, 4 athletes in the senior category and 2 athletes in the girls category.
At the end of the various competitions, the LNI Molfetta section achieved exceptional results. In fact, he played in a semi-final and nine finals, bringing home a total of 5 medals, including 4 bronzes and one silver.
A result that goes beyond all expectations and which has thrilled the Molfetta Section, athletes, technical staff, advisors, members, President Vito Pisani and above all the parents of the athletes.
A success that gives us hope for the continuation of the Olympic canoe competitive season of the LNI Molfetta Section which is preparing to face future challenges with greater confidence and enthusiasm.
