Caserta stops for the cycling race promoted by the Cannavaro-Ferrara foundation. Traffic at a standstill for the passage of the race in the San Leucio area with cars lined up for over an hour and a half waiting for the athletes to pass. Car transit at the exit of the Casagiove variant towards San Leucio was also blocked. Enraged motorists.
“The prefect, commissioner and mayor will clarify – I hope so – whose responsibility was for each step of the procedures that had to be adopted and what particular responsibility can be identified in the fact that, without any warning, on the tender and on what should precautionarily happen in care of the residents who, unaware, had parked their cars on the route, the residents were woken up by the State Police agents to clear the route and the inconvenience that subsequently occurred, with motorists blocked in traffic for dozens and tens of minutes (some messages I received report a blockade that continued for longer) without any alternative route to use and without even the possibility of going back. Bottled in the chaos without receiving any communication, citizens without rights which the people of Caserta would like to feel the closeness of the Municipality at their side, but that Marino is an “administration” only in a manner of speaking”, declares the municipal councilor of Fratelli d’Italia Pasquale Napoletano.
The event includes a 60 km cycle tour in the province of Caserta, with the departure and arrival at the Marcianise Velodrome. Among those present were also the founders Fabio and Paolo Cannavaro, Ciro Ferrara and many VIPs from the world of cycling: Francesco Moser, Giovanni Visconti, Valerio Agnoli, Angelo Furlan and Alessandro Bertolini.
