Alessio Cassandro, hit and killed by a bus to Malpensa in Milan

The death of Alessio Cassandro, the 38-year-old man hit and killed by a bus headed for Malpensa on the Ghisallo overpass, at dawn on Friday in Milan, remains shrouded in mystery. According to the findings, it seems that the thirty-eight-year-old was already lying on the ground at the time of the impact with the heavy vehicle, which has no marks on the bodywork.

The accident occurred around 4 in the morning between via Sant’Elia and the Ghisallo overpass on the roadway towards the hinterland, as pointed out by via Beccaria. Just before taking the bridge towards the motorway, the driver of the Malpensa Shuttle found himself faced with a man lying on the ground. He tried to avoid him, but it was all in vain. Two ambulances and a medical vehicle attended the scene, as well as fire brigade personnel.

The mangled body was removed from the vehicle by the firefighters and entrusted to the paramedics, but it was all in vain. The bus driver was in shock and accompanied in code green to the Sacco emergency room. The same driver was registered as a suspect for road homicide. An act required to proceed with the investigations.

It is not yet clear why Alessio Cassandro, resident with his wife in Senago (Milan) found himself in the vialone, a road with four lanes in each direction where only motor vehicles can pass.

The man’s car was found in Piazzale ai Laghi, not far away. The open hypotheses are different: from the illness, after for some reason the man had left the car in a confused state or to ask for help, to the voluntary gesture. Robbery assault was ruled out because the man had his cell phone and watch with him.
