Novara – Regarding the news reported by some press outlets, the School Building Service of the Province of Novara specifies that school activities at the Via Greppi headquarters of the “Casorati” art high school continue as scheduled. No suspension, therefore, after the discovery of a fragment of asbestos-cement under-roofing in the internal courtyard of the building during the work to remove the under-roofing itself. In addition to the immediate intervention of the technicians of the Province, the staff of ASL Novara was also present on site, who drew up a report which highlights the situation of absolute safety for the students and school staff, a fact which is decisive and fundamental to guarantee the continuation of regular activity. The Sector and the Provincial Offices regret the dissemination of untrue news, especially in consideration of the fact that the actions and construction sites for the removal of asbestos in the buildings under the authority’s responsibility know no precedents, in terms of economic commitment, compared to what has been started by the current Administration and, in particular, in consideration of the fact that the “Casorati” art high school itself, after years of waiting by the school, is home to a strongly desired construction site and within which it is foreseen the complete renovation of the roofing and under-roofing.
