Train traffic suspended in Parma, delays on the Milan-Bologna line

On the question of the regeneration of the colonies along the Romagna Riviera, an area that is deeply felt by the institutions of the area, “we will soon convene and meet all the mayors of the coast to open a regional table with the aim of writing together, by the end of the legislature, the Emilia-Romagna plan for the recovery and valorisation of these structures shared with the communities”. Thus the regional councilor for Tourism, Andrea Corsini, following the session of the Territory Commission of the Legislative Assembly dedicated to the topic and the appeal of the first citizens of the territory on the timing of approval of the documents. The old colonies, in several cases reduced to skeletons or decaying, in addition to “being symbolic places of the history of Romagna as an ‘Italian holiday’ – he observes – can and must also be a driving force today for new high-level public and private projects in favor of the territories and tourism. The objective is to build the Plan by the end of the legislature”. On the tourism front, Corsini points out, “first we intervened, with over 30 million, on the waterfront, then we supported the redevelopment of hotels and accommodation facilities, both with our own funds and by encouraging loans from the European Investment Bank” . Now, in such a context, the colonies represent “a further important piece, because we are talking about over 250 structures along 70 kilometers of coast, most of which are unused and abandoned even if in areas of great value from a tourist point of view: an opportunity certainly to be seized – Corsini comments – also from the perspective of innovation of the tourist product that has always distinguished Romagna”.
