Legnano – It will be called “Kimu” the Children’s Museum of Legnano. In the splendid setting of the park of the “A Marinoni” Civic Library, the name of the Museum dedicated to Children was finally revealed on Saturday 1 June. A playful and interactive space that will be built in the Art Nouveau building, the former public baths of Legnano, where we remember that the Italian Red Cross then recently migrated to the Canazza district.

“Kimu”: an interactive museum

From drop symbol an entire alphabet was created with fluid and rounded lines that give rise to the logo, intersecting in the last letter, the “U” a drop of water fallen into a container, or in two hands joined in a gathering gesture, or still in a glass or in the river bed. This is the concept that led to the creation of the graphics chosen by the children.

“Kimu”, a name that caused great success during the voting, becoming the most voted for by the young students who will also be the most frequent visitors to the interactive museum dedicated to the theme of water.

“A museum located near the Olona river, symbol of our city. It aims to be a place of leisure, aggregation and sharing where children and others can discover the beauty of science and scientific subjects by approaching their study through play”. – he underlined Mayor Lorenzo Radice together with the Councillors Ilaria Maffei And Guido Bragato.

The meeting was also an opportunity to reward the participants Piedibus project.
