“You have given a dream to your parents, to me and to my whole family: thanks guys!” – so the president Carlo Rivetti thanks Paolo Mandelli’s canaries, Italian Primavera 3 champions thanks to the 2-1 victory over Avellino in the Dante Berretti Trophy.
FIRST HALF. Just 11′ passed and the Canaries found the immediate advantage with a great goal Gandolfi: Lisanti breaks through on the right and rewards Gandolfi’s overlap with a precise shot, the full-back controls and fires a shot that hits the lower part of the crossbar and goes into the net. A minute later the second goal almost didn’t arrive, the goalkeeper rejected Teresi’s shot from outside and Moratti was unable to finish from close range on the tap. Avellino reacts by continuously moving forward, but the third chance of the match is still yellow and blue: in the 41st minute Ghillani reaches the back and crosses to the far post for Lisanti, who hits the post on the fly from one meter.
SECOND HALF. In the 6th minute of the second half the Gialloblù created another great opportunity, Vicini reached the back and passed it backwards for the onrushing Brasili, who caressed the post with his left foot from an excellent position. Avellino warms up Leonardi’s gloves in the 13th minute, with a close header the yellow-blue number 1 had to overcome. In the 15th minute the Wolves equalised, with Campanile finding a precise shot from the edge of the area. In the 25th minute Modena came close to making it 2-1, the crossbar denied Zidouh the goal on a left-footed shot fouled by a defender from Campania. A minute passes and Ghillani crosses with his left foot from a good position but the ball goes out a meter. The Canaries deserved the lead in the 84th minute: following the illuminating suggestion of Moratti, the substitute Barozzini beats the goalkeeper with his right foot to the near post.
