INPGI 2024 elections, Patrizia Pennella will represent Abruzzo in the assembly of delegates. Antonio Ranalli from Sulmona was also elected

Will be Patrizia Pennella to represent Abruzzo in the national assembly of delegates of the Inpgi, the national welfare institute for Italian journalists. You obtained 212 preferences (57.3% of the votes cast) in the elections which took place from 27 to 31 May electronically. In Abruzzo 373 people voted, 70.38% of those entitled to vote. Aquilana, resident in Pescara, Pennella has been a journalist since 1986; she worked until 2014 with the newspaper Il Tempo, currently she is a freelancer, she collaborates with Il Messaggero and deals with press offices. She was a delegate in the Casagit assembly, a member of the regional council of the order of journalists of Abruzzo and is a councilor of the National Press Federation.

“The Abruzzo Journalists’ Union expresses satisfaction with the election of Patrizia Pennella – states the secretary Ezio Cerasi – a result that recognizes the commitment she has dedicated to her colleagues, with particular attention to collaborators and temporary workers and to the weakest sections of the profession. Inpgi is engaged in its most important phase of transformation, after the transfer of the main management to Inps, and as a union we are convinced of the importance of an institute that is increasingly closer to local realities, for more punctual, rapid and closer services to the needs of members. Let’s not forget, for example, the health protection project that offers freelancers three years of membership to Casagit with the support of Inpgi, a project that has increased in recent months”.

Even the Sulmona area Antonio Ranalli among the 52 delegates at the assembly of the National Institute of Social Security for Italian Journalists “Giovanni Amendola”. The election took place late in the evening of Friday 31 May, after five days of voting, which this year was held exclusively electronically.

Antonio Ranalli, 45 years old, journalist and current president of the press office consultancy of the Roman Press Association, was elected with 271 preferences in the Lazio constituency, seventh in the ranking and exponent of the Inpgi@Futuro group, which also elected the journalists Daniela Novelli ( member of the board and secretariat of the Roman Press Association) and Elena G. Polidori (QN political journalist).

“Let’s build your tomorrow together” was the slogan chosen by Inpgi@Futuro, a partnership born from the experience within the Roman Press Association (with the components Informazione@Futuro and Pluralismo e Libertà) for these elections, which also saw candidates Vincenzo Campo (President of the self-employment consultancy of the Roman Press Association) and Alessandro Guarasci (Arbitrators of the Roman Press Association), Pierangelo Maurizio (ASR contract commission and former FNSI and ASR councillor).

“A clear change of pace in the management of the Italian National Social Security Institute “Giovanni Amendola to secure the contributions paid by the many freelancers and collaborators, and avoid mistakes made in the past”, the representatives of Inpgi@Futuro had declared in recent days .

“These elections are very important for the future of a social security fund that will represent self-employed journalists for the first time. They are the first of the new course of the Via Nizza Institute, after the separation from the main management, transferred to the INPS. The next Board of Directors will have the delicate task of carefully protecting and administering the payments of the many freelance colleagues, VAT numbers and occasional collaborators. Among our objectives is to broaden social protection to the multifaceted field of welfare, expanding the pure social security sphere of the Inpgi social security funds to the welfare sphere and the implementation of the Iscro. It is necessary to strengthen protections. And to do this we need more efficient services for members.”
