Four events in Velletri and one in Genzano will close the splendid program of the musical festival “The sound of Liszt at Villa d’Este”, now in its twelfth edition, and with a very rich program between the two cities of the Castelli Romani . The five events, until 7 July 2024, are scheduled in the two exceptional locations of Velletri (“Romina Trenta” Auditorium of the Casa delle Culture) e Genzano (Harpsichord Hall and Hall of Weapons of Palazzo Sforza Cesarini). The programming, developed byColle Ionci Association with the patronage of City of Velletri Art and Culture Participation Foundation and with the contribution of Lazio regionwill once again offer performers and music of the highest quality to best introduce us to the upcoming summer season.

The first appointment is for Sunday 9 June in Velletri the House of Cultures which will host – at 11.15am – Ivan Donchev, an internationally renowned musician, who will perform on the Erard piano from 1879 in “Pairings of authors and eras”, a tribute to Ferruccio Busoni on the centenary of his death with the music of Music by Ferruccio Busoni, Johann Sebastian Bach, Pancho Vladigerov.

On Sunday 16 June we move to Genzano, at 6pm with Michele Chiaramida and his clavichord who will perform music by Pachebel, Bach and Haydn.

The last two events of the month include Sunday 23 June, in the evening at 9pm in Velletri, the trio composed of Sandra Pirruccio on the flute, Giuseppe Ciabocchi on the bassoon and Maria Cristina Capon on the Erard piano from 1879 with the music of Gaetano Donizetti, François Devienne, Franz Joseph Strauss, Charles Lefebvre, Pietro Morlacchi, Antonio Torriani. On Sunday 30 June, at 11.15am, the Chantarmony Vocal Ensemble will be on stage with Chantal Mony conducting and Andrea Centra at the 1879 Erard piano with music by Brahms.

The event will conclude on Sunday 7 July at 11.15am with a concert for two pianos, the Erard of 1879 and the Pleyel of 1998, and the performance of the famous Rhapsody in Blue by George Gershwin. The two pianists will be Jacopo Feresin And Francesco Grano who in this formation have already participated in this XII edition last April 28th when they offered a magnificent interpretation of Beethoven’s Concerto n.4 and Rachmaninov’s Concerto n.1.
