The teachers of the Respighi high school are the protagonists in the Ricci Oddi garden

They are a group of teachers of the Respighi High School of Piacenza who worked with the masks of the commedia dell’arte under the guidance of Nicola Cavallari and will present to the public “TREGENDA, or the palpitations of poor Ranuccio among witches, lovers, conspiracies, doctors, heirs and inquisitors”, the result of the laboratory theater which saw them as protagonists. The appointment is for Wednesday 5 June at 8pm in the Garden of the Ricci Oddi Modern Art Gallery, with free entry, subject to availability.

The Teatro Gioco Vita workshop on commedia dell’arte was divided into eight matches starting last April and was proposed by the high school led by Elisabetta Ghiretti as part of the initiatives of the “Well-being at school” project financed by the Municipality of Piacenza. A project which, in addition to psychological support activities and training courses on specific topics aimed at teachers, students and parents, this year has launched this theater workshop for school staff with theobjective of promoting well-being at schoolbut also the prevention of burnout and the development of skills for teamwork.

Starting from a historical fact such as Ranuccio Farnese’s “witch hunt”, the workshop participants created the dramaturgy together and will return it to the public wearing the “half masks” of the Commedia dell’Arte. The scenic space will obviously be a commedia dell’arte stage, which will be set up for the occasion in the Gardens of the Ricci Oddi Gallery.

“TREGENDA” features Aldo Acerbi, Roberto Buonocore, Licia Colucci, Annachiara Gazzola, Francesca Gipponi, Silvia Mallozzi, Maria Grazia Marcotti, Valentina Maserati, Silvia Mozzi, Ilaria Pancolini, Emanuela Sindaco, Michela Vignola. Project and direction are by Nicola Cavallari, technical staff Giovanni Mutti, Anna Adorno, Gianluca Bernardo.

The Pre/Visioni 2023/2024 program continues with the evening of Wednesday 5 June, the section of the prose season dedicated in particular to the results of theater workshops and proposed by Teatro Gioco Vita and Fondazione Teatri with the Friends of the Teatro Gioco Vita Association and the support of the Piacenza and Vigevano Foundation. Program which has already seen the “Respighi” high school as a guest on 5 April with the 3H class, on 17 May with the 3E class and which will end on Thursday 13 June at 8.30 pm at the Filodrammatici Theater with the final performance of the institute’s afternoon theater workshop directed by Elisabetta Ghiretti: “PLUTO da Aristifane”, with the artistic coordination of Nicola Cavallari and the educational coordination of the Professor Emanuela Mayor.
