Educational exchange between children – The Province of Civitavecchia

BOLSENA – The nursery schools “L’Isola che non c’è” in Bolsena and “Oasi dei Piccoli” in Bagnoregio – both managed by the Social Cooperative “Il Quadrifoglio di Orvieto – have started an innovative project of educational-cultural exchange , with the aim of enriching the professional skills of educators and offering children new educational experiences.

At the heart of this initiative lies the idea of mutual learning and “pedagogical hybridisation”: each nursery will plan and carry out an activity based on its own educational philosophy, sharing its skills and knowledge with the other.

This not only broadens the horizons of educators, but offers children an unparalleled opportunity to embark on a journey of discovery and self-expression.

The project aims to achieve a multiplicity of objectives, such as: strengthening the professional skills of educators, who will strengthen their flexibility and adaptability by embracing new educational methodologies and approaches; increase sensory, manipulative and perceptual-motor skills: children are involved in activities that stimulate their sensory, manipulative and perceptual-motor skills, promoting self-regulation and bodily expressiveness; strengthen the territorial network: the project strengthens the links between the nurseries of Bolsena and Bagnoregio, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing; Learn different educational backgrounds: Educators will gain a deeper understanding of each other’s educational philosophies, broadening their perspectives. Finally, develop the adaptability of the little ones, who will develop their ability to adapt to new environments and interact with unknown individuals.

Activities proposed by the “Neverland” nursery in Bolsena. The Bolsena educators will propose an immersive workshop based on earth and water, natural elements that will be explored through manipulative and graphic-pictorial activities that involve the use of natural and recycled materials. Images of the two countries and their natural elements will be projected on the walls to enrich the sensorial and visual experience.

Activities proposed by the “Oasi dei Piccoli” nursery in Bagnoregio. With the “Yoga Movement with the Indy Dragon” project, the educators of the Bagnoregio nursery offer a unique sensorial and relaxation experience in an environment conceived as a perfect replica of a “Yogi’s Room” with carpets, blankets, candles and ancestral instruments.

The little dragon Indy will accompany the little ones’ activity, which includes an exploratory part of the instruments and a relaxation phase, also through the music of Emiliano Toso, molecular biologist and composer, considered, due to the “natural” tuning at 432 Hz, particularly suitable for resonating with the energies of life.

The educators will observe how each team works with the children and how they respond to the new educational figures and changes in the daily routine. This observation will allow us to better understand the dynamics of adaptation and flexibility of both educators and children, encouraging mutual growth.
