The Cuccaro brothers, owners of a driving school and an inspection centre, tell the judges their complaint which gave rise to the complaint against Andrea Fiscone, on trial together with 63 other defendants for having issued false inspections in the inspection centres. San Nicola la Strada, Marcianise, Casapulla, Vitulazio and Sessa Aurunca.

The Cuccaros reported that some of their customers (called to testify in the trial) had suspected that “book inspections” were carried out in the Fiscone body shops, i.e. without checking the vehicles. From their checks, which preceded the complaint, Fiscone, although lacking some authorizations for certain types of inspection, would have proceeded anyway, making it appear that the inspection had been carried out at other workshops (also owned by him) located in the Caserta area.

Also acquired was an explanatory note of an appeal to the TAR presented by Fiscone at the time of the events. He returns to court in September. The defense team includes, among others, the lawyers Andrea Piccolo, Gerardo Marrocco, Magda Zerrillo, Pasquale Acconcia, Salvatore Gionti, Lorenzo Caruso, Carmine D’Onofrio, Paolo Di Furia, Domenico Amarando, Luigi Cicala, Mariano Omarto, Nello Di Fratta, Antimo Castiello and Luigi Tecchia.

The investigation was triggered by the complaint from the Cuccaros, competitors of Fiscone, who had reported that the workshops carried out inspections even for vehicles for which they were not authorized (such as motorcycles or even quads). Striscia la Notizia had also covered the case and had documented how the inspection of a car with various anomalies had resulted in a regular outcome. In another case, one of Striscia’s provocateur agents even went to the workshop with just his registration document and received the stamp without checking the car. The defendants are from Marcianise, San Nicola la Strada, Maddaloni, Caserta, Macerata Campania, Casapulla, Aversa, Santa Maria Capua Vetere, Francolise, Pignataro Maggiore, San Marco Evangelista, Capodrise, Vitulazio, Capua, Bellona, Camigliano, Caianello, Naples, San Giorgio a Cremano, Villaricca, Torrecuso.
