approach ban for a 33-year-old accused of mistreatment

A thirty-three-year-old from Avellino was hit with a ban on approaching his partner, accused of verbal and physical abuse which lasted for about two years. The insults included insults such as “You can’t cook”, “You’re a no-good” and “You don’t clean the house”, often accompanied by slaps and punches.

The woman, victim of these humiliations, decided to report her partner to the Avellino police station. The investigations carried out by the Flying Squad and the Prosecutor’s Office led to the issuing of the provision by the investigating judge of the Court of Avellino, Paolo Cassano, at the request of the Public Prosecutor’s Office.

The episode that triggered the complaint occurred when the man, after grabbing his partner by the wrists, kicked her out of the house. The violence also occurred in the presence of a minor, contributing to creating a climate of oppression.

Despite the seriousness of the facts, the electronic bracelet was not applied to the man. However, a minimal violation of the ban on approaching at least 500 meters from his ex-partner could lead to an aggravation of the precautionary measure. In the next few days, the suspect will have to face the interrogation before the investigating judge who issued the measure.
