This morning (May 25th), in the board room of Municipality of Bagni di Luccaan emotional ceremony was held to say goodbye and thank you Moreno Fabbri, the outgoing president of the Italian Red Cross of Bagni di Lucca.

In the presence of the new president Nicola Consanivolunteers, the municipal administration and some representatives of local associations, Fabbri was honored with two commemorative plaques: one from his own committee and one from the municipal administration and he handed over the keys to the presidential office as a symbol of passage and affixed the representative pin worn by him in previous years to the new president’s jacket.

Moreno FabbriThat he has led the committee since 1999was warmly thanked for his commitment and dedication with which he carried out his role. The mayor of Bagni di Lucca, Paolo Michelini, expressed his gratitude to Fabbri for his years of service and significant contributions to the community. The new president Nicola Consani also addressed words of thanks to his predecessor, recognizing the teachings received and the high level of commitment maintained by the committee under the leadership of Fabbri.

Consani underlined “theimportance of collaboration with local authorities – he said -, symbolically starting his mandate in the municipal headquarters as a sign of union and willingness to work together for the common good. The municipal administration has already shown its support in the realization of the ceremony, confirming the solid partnership with the Italian Red Cross of Bagni di Lucca”.

Despite the handover, Moreno Fabbri will continue to be an active volunteer, as he has done for years. The greetings and thanks from the committee were particularly touching, highlighting the affection and esteem that volunteers and community members have for him.

“This morning’s ceremony was not only an opportunity to celebrate the end of a mandate, but also to look to the future with confidence – a note explains -. The Bagni di Lucca Italian Red Cross Committee will continue to carry out the important work and service to the community, building on the solid foundations laid by Moreno Fabbri. Everyone’s sincere thanks to him for his years of dedication and commitment.”
