A pink help desk to help women victims of violence

A pink tulip stands out on the facade of the new pink anti-violence desk inaugurated on Friday morning next to the Rovigo emergency room. The result of the collaboration between Ulss5 Polesana, the Anti-violence Center of Rovigo, the Municipality of Rovigo and the “Viva Vittoria” association, the new space entirely dedicated to the prevention, care and protection of women victims of violence will now be accessible and usable.

“This is further concrete help to all those women who, for various reasons, do not turn to the institutional centre. Here they will be able to find support and care, hopefully, not only to protect themselves from violence but also to be able to prevent it” commented the director of the emergency room of Rovigo and Trecenta Maria Adelina Ricciardelli.

Set up in the former pre-triage for Covid swabs that the emergency room had made available during the pandemic, the new desk consists of: a room for interviews and the first listening to the person together with a space, inside the First aid, for medical assistance of women.

The places have found new life thanks to the decorations created by “Viva Vittoria”: a touch of color to give serenity; for a hope that, thanks also to this support, it will be possible to give more and more to all women.
