The 100 kilometers of Passatore, the Florence-Faenza ultramarathon, is back

After a year of forced stoppage caused by the flood
which hit the Faentino area, the 100 kilometers of Passatore returns. The departure is scheduled for Saturday at 3pm from Piazza del Duomo and the winner will arrive after 9pm in Piazza del Popolo in Faenza, where the participants will also arrive the following morning (the maximum time allowed is 20 hours).
The participating athletes are over 3,300 athletes, of which 392 from Romagna (180 from Faenza), 430 from Tuscany (80 from Florence), 683 women, 670 debutants and over 120 athletes from 32 foreign nations.

The magic that this race offers lies in the beauty of the landscapes it passes through and in the friendliness and conviviality of the people who animate it. First of all, a straight route, not a circuit, which winds through two regions climbing up the Tuscan-Romagna Apennines full of ups and downs and still uncontaminated nature and with the typical welcome of the people who live in the places that the race passes through as well as the passion that animates the over five hundred volunteers who are the true beating heart of the event.
Also evocative is the atmosphere that welcomes the competitors from sunset where immersion in the sounds of nature under a sky of stars becomes even more exciting.
