This was made known by Italian sources from SpaceX, the aerospace company founded in 2002 by the tycoon, who also underlined how Palazzo Chigi there wasn’t no response.
Starlink’s step forward comes in the wake of the seismic swarm that hit Italy in recent days Phlegraean Fields. And it is precisely for catastrophes of this type, or in any case emergency situations, that Musk’s company said it was “ready to give support“, because “the topic is very delicate”. Its technology relies on satellites in low orbit and is capable of keep stable the communications in cases of danger, facilitating the arrival of help and other interventions, and of to map the territories to obtain satellite images in high definition, in order to precisely identify any critical points.
Musk’s satellites had already proven extremely useful following the floods in Emilia Romagna, last year.
