The earth trembles again Phlegraean Fields, after the strong tremors of last May 20th which caused the eviction of dozens of families. Tonight, at 1.46 today, Friday 24 May, a shock of magnitude 1.9 of the Richter scale was recorded in the Miliscola area, in Pozzuoli, on the coast road that leads to Bacoli, which is why the seismic event was felt throughout the Phlegraean area; as often happens in the Campi Flegrei caldera area, the earthquake was accompanied

The Municipality of Pozzuoli, on social media, communicated to the citizens the occurrence of the seismic event: «The Vesuvian Observatory communicated to this administration the occurrence of a seismic event of magnitude 1.9 located in the Via Miliscola area. The earthquake occurred at 01:44 local time (23:44 UTC) at a depth of 2.57 km. The event may have been accompanied by a roar heard by the inhabitants of the area close to the epicentre” the municipal administration wrote on Facebook. Today Nello Musumeci, Minister of Civil Protection, receives the Phlegraean mayors in Rome with whom he will take stock of the situation.
