The Democratic Party and the Right, for three years, have hammered our ears about how the offshore wind hub would be the panacea for all employment problems.

But now that the application has (perhaps) been presented to the Ministry, no one has asked for the project guidelines to be illustrated to the city.

During the open city council meeting last March, President Mussolino himself said he was skeptical about the possibility of finding parts of the port to be allocated to this activity.

If he changed his mind and presented the famous question, he should tell us which areas of the port are to be used as yards, which are the warehouses, which are the docks and which are the shipyards, the steel mills and the industrial chain that would be involved. But, until now, everything has remained covered by the elusive secret.

Obviously PD and Right lend a hand, beating around the bush and delighting (but, damn, it’s anything but a game) in blaming it on the most pleasant and disparate topics.

It was a proposal from the League, greeted with irrepressible enthusiasm by the then vice mayor Massimiliano Grasso (now a candidate). Then (obviously) nothing happened anymore.

All forgotten even by that semblance of opposition led by Marco Piendibene (now a candidate) who after five years broke the jealously preserved silence without ever saying a single “unseemly” word about the administration or even about this useful topic.
