L’Aquila – At the end of a memorable season which saw the team from L’Aquila finish the regular phase of the category championship in first place and unbeaten (17 wins and a draw) and after winning both semi-finals against Rugby Rovigo, here comes the long-awaited final: on the neutral lawn of the San Michele Stadium in Calvisano, the Rugby Experience School will meet the Venetian team of Benetton Treviso who, in the semi-final, got the better of Fiamme Oro.

“What is about to end has been a long and demanding season, but equally exciting and certainly one to remember, thanks to the constant commitment shown week after week by the entire under 18 group – began the head coach, Alessandro Cialone. Fifty boys who allowed us not only to participate in two championships (elite and inter-regional), but to experience both competitions as protagonists, finishing the regular seasons in first place. Saturday’s final itself is the result of the daily, constant and serene work carried out by the entire group and the technical staff (Roberto D’Antonio and Massimo Lombardo, coaches of the elite team; Umberto Lorenzetti and Riccardo Parisse, coaches of the interregional team; Lorenzo Capulli, physical trainer; Mauro Ianni, Mirko Barone, Alessandro Marozzi, companions). During the season the boys always worked together: this allowed each of them to compare and grow. On Saturday we will meet one of the historic clubs of Italian rugby, and we will do it with the same serenity and great enthusiasm that have characterized the entire season, also thanks to the support we received during the home final with Rugby Rovigo: seeing so many people get excited and fighting together with us was already a great victory; It’s been a long time since we’ve had such a strong and heartfelt moment of aggregation, thank you” – added Cialone.

An important final, with the title of best junior team up for grabs, which comes in the tenth year of activity of the Rugby Experience School sports association: “Today, seeing so many kids on the field who, ten years ago, still children, participated in our first open day, organized on a five-a-side football pitch, is certainly a source of pride. In recent years our association has grown together with them and together with the girls, boys and their families who, season after season, have believed in our project” – concluded head coach Cialone.

A project that has always been focused on the growth path, not only physical and not only sporting, of all the athletes who, from mini rugby to under 18, wear the red and white shirt of the Rugby Experience School: a healthy and peaceful growth capable of respecting everyone’s times, far from forcing or accelerations foreign to the philosophy of the L’Aquila association. Hence the decision to collaborate with Rugby L’Aquila on the “L’A neXt Generation” project: a precious training opportunity coordinated by the Venetian coach Umberto Casellato and aimed at athletes born between 2004 and 2010. For more information on the methods of carrying out the admission tests and the open days scheduled for next June (11, 12 and 13 June), it is possible to contact the association at the e-mail address [email protected]
